Biography

Eduardo Martín was born in the province of Neuquén Argentina, on January 13rd, 1982. He graduated with honours as Civil Engineer from the National University of San Juan in 2008.

He began working at IDIA in 2010, carrying out transfer, research and teaching activities. He is a part-time Professor of Water Management and Irrigation and Drainage Systems chair and a part-time Assistant Professor of Hydroelectric Installations and Dams chair in the Civil Engineer career, Faculty of Engineering, UNSJ.

He has reinforced his knowledge in the research field in the University of Newcastle and the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom. Furthermore, in 2004 he was granted the ARCOIRIS – ERASMUS MUNDUS ACTION II scholarship for academic training at the Polytechnic Institute of Grenoble, France. His academic background relates to studies of geotechnics, with application to mining waste deposits and reservoir dams.

His research papers have been published in various Meetings and in scientific international journals. Since August 2019, he has been Vice-president of the Argentine Dam Committee and, he is currently taking the course of the Doctorate Program in Civil Engineering at the National University of San Juan.
