Biography

Cristian Sisterna, is a Professor/Researcher at “Instituto de Invesgtigaciones Antisismicas”  in the Universidad Nacional de San Juan, since 1994. He obtained his Bachelor Degree from UNSJ, in Argentina, and his Master of Science degree at Arizona State University, in USA.

He is currently teaching different courses at grade and posgrade level at Universidad Nacional de San Juan and at Universidad Nacional de San Luis. He has been invited several time as lecturer to different VHDL-FPGA courses organized by the Abdus Salam International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), Trieste, Italy. He taught Advanced Digital Design courses at Arizona State University. He is also an active collaborator of the Polytechnical Campus at Arizona State University.

He had been project director of three research projects carried out in the IDIA, and also collaborator of numerous research projects at other department of the UNSJ. On the other hand, he has working experience with VHDL-FPGA at companies such as Intel Corporation (project lead), Marvell Technology, Philips Semiconductor and Lattice Semiconductor. His research fields of interest are Custom Hardware Design, Hardware Description Languages, and Seismic Instrumentation.
